Jake has spent years performing in bands and chose to study music at the college level, specializing in Jazz Bass. Today he is a sought after session player as well as being a great teacher at the Academy. Jake has the right mix of energy and enthusiasm to make all his lessons fun and fulfilling.

Dan Taylor has been teaching music for 30 years. Dan is a multi instrumentalist who can teach piano, guitar, drums, woodwinds, strings and brass to students of all ages and abilities. He is originally from Hamilton, Ontario, where he studied piano performance at McMaster University with teachers Ken Gee and Alla Zachiarelli. Dan also has a degree in audio engineering from Recording Arts Canada. Dan encourages live performance for all his students, including participating in festivals, community and private events. Dan currently performs publicly in the rock group 'Sivle'.
